Language is not aware believable cautious deliberate easy forgetful graceful habitual inert jealous kindred luscious messy new ossified pesky quick rare safe trite understood vehement worrisome x yielding zealous.
Rachael Haynes is a visual artist and arts writer based in Brisbane, Australia. Rachael has exhibited her work nationally in solo and group exhibitions at Metro Arts, Current Projects, The Farm Space, Boxcopy, The Block – QLD University of Technology, QUT Art Museum, Griffith University Art Gallery (QLD), First Draft, Gallery Barry Keldoulis, The Lock-Up Cultural Centre (NSW), Perth Institute of Contemporary Art (WA), six-a (TAS) and was part of the 2012 Next Wave Festival (VIC). She has been awarded prizes including the Melville Haysom Memorial Art Scholarship (Queensland Art Gallery) and the Eddie Hopkins Memorial Drawing Prize (Queensland College of Art). She has completed a PhD in practice led research at the Queensland University of Technology with an Australian Postgraduate Award and her current research interests include gender politics, performativity and relational art practices. Rachael is a founding co-director of LEVEL artist run initiative and the Director of Boxcopy ARI (QLD).
