Nikos Pantazopoulos BOUTIQUE POLITICS

In this exhibition Nikos Pantazopoulos is presenting work from the series Boutique politics, which consists of a landscape, a portrait and a still life, experienced from one continually shifting viewing plane. Through intense observations in these pictures and in the gallery the artist is attempting to discipline a strangers front yard, his mother and a tablecloth.

Nikos Pantazopoulos completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts at the Victorian College of the Arts, Melbourne in 1998, a Masters of Fine Art at Goldsmiths College, London in 2007, and a PhD at Monash University, Melbourne in 2013. He is a lecturer in the Print Imaging Practice studio area at RMIT University, Melbourne.
