“This struggle between the internal and the external reality filtered through the constructs of political, religious and cultural systems - coupled with an earnest search for truth - are fertile influences on my artistic practise and allow me to challenge the dialectics of my perceived reality through the modus operandi of painting.

This interest has been the result of my mixed ethnicity and my childhood living in Malaysia, Australia, China and the United Kingdom; where I was predominantly left suspended between different cultures playing the role of congenital interloper and general misfit.

My influence are from such diverse influences as Contemporary Apocalyptic and Conspiracy Theorists, Naturalist Philosophy, Pierre Bourdieu, Occultism, Quantum physics, Sacred Geometry, Classical Archaeology, Cultural Marxism and the Historical Tradition of Painting.

My paintings vary in scale and media and adopt imagery, themes and materials that are transformative and charged with symbolism. My work swings between Figuration, Abstraction and Pluralism and often incorporates found objects that perpetuate a dialogue between my relationship to nature and urbanity contextualised within Jungian Semiotics.”
