Cooled pride, roused ardour
'Cooled pride, roused ardour’ investigates the artists queer identity through objects of personal worth. A pit-fired ceramic chandelier stands in for a body. A pair of high heeled boots sit nearby, their fabric taken from a family sofa, itself an old wedding present to his parents. On the floor, a pot depicting the martyrdom of St Sebastian is sheathed in a sacramental stole made by his mother.
