Exhibits,

bomb collective SLV

Opening: Wednesday 11 June 2014, 6-8pm Dates: 11-28 June 2014

‘SLV’ will present a selection of discarded organic matter: dust, waste and dirt. The residue or result of an intense period of cataloguing, this material has been collected, filed and stored during an 88 hour durational performance. The exhibition forms part 2 of an ongoing performative work and presents for critique and discussion the unregistered or displaced sides of our common spaces. This matter offers an alternative insight into a place. A forgotten or hidden register of time and occupation, this catalogue offers us a point of reflection into our everyday spatial encounters.

bomb collective comprises emerging artists, Jess Miley, Ellen Buttrose and John Pagnozzi whose work explores spatial practices that disrupt the perception and experience of public space. Working between the realms of landscape, architecture, design and live art. Their work is concerned with the experimental edges of architectural theory and the possibility of a performative architecture which interrogates among other things, duration, spatial justice and land based poetics.

Shift was originally commissioned and developed for Next Wave Festival 2014.
