Danica completed her Masters of Fine Art (by Research) at Victorian College of the Arts in 2012, where she questioned conventions and material condition of the photograph. Since 2013 Danica has evolved her expanded photographic practice to incorporate Wet-plate, Daguerreotype; Colour Carbon processes. Danica is the recipient of Australia Council Arts Start Grant, 2013; Arts Projects for Individuals and Groups Grant, 2016; City of Greater Dandenong Garnar Lane Commission, 2014; the Austalian Postgraduate Award 2012; and the Jim Marks Scholarship, 2011. Danica has undertaken residencies and research including the Stichting BAD, (Rotterdam), ESW (Edinburgh), Bauhaus University Summer School (Weimar), Bauhaus Archiv (Berlin), Folkswang Museum (Essen); Musée des artes et metiers; Muséum national Histoire naturelle (Paris).
