Born in 1976, Christchurch, New Zealand Lives and works in Auckland, New Zealand. Arps completed Master of Fine Art, (1st Class Honors), Elam School of Fine Arts, University of Auckland in 2006 and a Bachelor of Fine Art, (Sculpture) School of Fine Arts, University of Canterbury in 2000. His most recent solo exhibitions include '3 in the morning part 2', Minerva, Sydney, 2015; '3AM ETERNAL', Robert Heald Gallery, Wellington, 2015; 'Plastic Mouth Feel II', Michael Lett, Auckland, 2015, 'Plastic Mouth Feel', Neon Parc, Melbourne, 2015; and Christchurch the Frieze Art Fair, London, 2011.
